    HCC Helps Bring Sports & Wellness Complex To Georgia College. Georgia College's new 101,000 square foot facility offers a new total "wellness" approach to students and faculty of the university and contains all sorts of exercise and recreational areas. It also serves as home to student health services, counseling and health sciences classes. The facility presents a dramatic getaway to the west campus, provides much-needed recreations, wellness activities support services spaces to meet the demands of an increasing student population.
    Georgia College's new 101,000 square foot facility offers a new total "wellness" approach to students and faculty of the university and contains all sorts of exercise and recreational areas. It also serves as home to student health services, counseling and health sciences classes. The facility presents a dramatic getaway to the west campus, provides much-needed recreations, wellness activities support services spaces to meet the demands of an increasing student population.

    Harrison Contracting Company partnered with Garbutt Construction and provided expert carpentry and specialty trim for the $28.2M Wellness Center. The new facility was conceived out of necessity as the older one had been housed in a refurbished train depot, which the growing university had long since outgrown.

    The president of Georgia College's Student Government Association, Evan Karanovich, researched and examined wellness centers around the state and was able to determine which traits were necessary for Georgia College's new facility. The new facility not only meets their current needs but will allow the intramural and club programs to expand for years to come.

    Harrison Contracting looks forward building a relationship with Garbutt Construction and is proud to have been a part of creating the Wellness and Recreation Center for Georgia's leading liberal arts college.

We have helped them maintain their stores with daily work order projects as well as scheduled remodel work. We look forward to growing our business with them in years to come.

    The Home Depot Foundation

    Harrison Contracting's Vice President, Rob Stephenson attended this year's Community Building Invitational in Savannah, GA with Home Depot. This program is in place to help rebuild and repair homes and facilities in communities all over the country. Together with HCC, Home Depot, and other vendors, they were able raise over 1.1 million dollars for the cause. Along with the donations, came hard work from over 230+ volunteers working together to repair and refurbish 8 houses and 1 playground.

    We have expanded our service area with Cracker Barrel Old Country Stores. We have been performing general maintenance and remodel work with this customer in the Atlanta area for nearly two years. We are now servicing the entire state of GA, the panhandle of FL, and expanding into AL, MS, and TN. We look forward to continuing to build on a great relationship with Cracker Barrel.

Recent projects have included handyman style repairs, interior and exterior painting, concrete repair, parking lot signage, parking lot striping, and tilt wall caulking.

    We recently completed our first project with Grainger Industrial Supply. The re-fresh/remodel of their location in Charlotte, NC was completed in September with scopes ranging from floor cleaning, painting, to ceiling tile replacement and FRP. We will be expanding our service area with Grainger to FL, GA, SC, and NC by the end of 2010.
